From the desk of Pastor Ron...For the last three years my high school, college, and adult leaders have asked me to consider taking some of our youth to ‘Acquire The Fire’ (ATF) ATF is a two day conference that is held in many U.S. cities. It is geared to Jr. High, Sr. High, and College Age students. The purpose is to help our students live a Godly life in the ungodly world. During the conference there will be top Christian artists, well known speakers and many drama skits. Recently I called a few youth pastors who have attended ATF over the last few years. All three strongly encouraged me to make the effort to attend ATF saying it’s one of the best conferences they’ve ever attended. They all made the comment that it helped their youth group grow closer to each other and to God. After praying the last few months I feel led by the Lord that our youth group needs to attend AFT. The next conference is April 3-4 in Sacramento. We will be staying one night in a motel with the total cost being approximately $80.00. This will cover both the conference and motel. Because of the cost, my leaders and I will be planning a fund raiser to help offset money needed. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare to attend Acquire the Fire. I truly believe that this will not only benefit our youth, but also our church as a whole. —- Pastor Ron
