A famous boxer made this statement: "I'm so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my bedroom and was in bed before the room was dark!" I'd say," That's pretty fast considering that light travels at a speed of 186,273 miles per second!" When we fail to see the sunlight, its not because it isn't there, it's because we (residents of earth) have moved. Scientists say, "no one can tell what light is, only what it does." My new lighthouse in the kitchen window has a unique device in the very top that rapidly spins around when the light hits it. At night it remains still (we too have unexplained POWER when the holy spirit controls our life.) Jesus is the light of this world. He can change a person's life in an instant when Born Again! He can heal diseases, relationships, depression, marriages and whatever else we are praying for. We know what His light can do! Sometimes our own struggles and pain make us feel we're in the darkness, but Praise the Lord, we can see LIGHT at the end of the tunnel because of the faith and hope HE puts into us! (1 John 5:5 and Romans 5:5) "If we walk in the Light as He himself is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from ALL sin." (1 John 1:7) I was praying in my recliner one early morning when Jesus enlightened me with another understanding of LIGHT Jesus said, "Come to me…..For my yoke is easy and my load (burden) is LIGHT." (Matthew 11:30) Isn't that also a reason we intercede for one another? We choose to help lighten the burdens of others through prayer, encouragement and fellowship.
